Who are we and why do we sell American West luxury leather handbags, American Indian silver and turquoise jewellery, Zuni carvings and copper bracelets designed and handmade by Sergio Lub?

Started in September 2006 by Margaret Ann Wilson and Robert Wilson, bagstoriches.uk.com was born out of the joy of discovering and buying beautiful, handcrafted things – leather handbags, turquoise jewellery, carvings and copper bracelets - on their travels in the Western United States – and the head scratching frustration of not being able to buy them at home. 

Loads of people commented about the lovely things that we brought back and the business partnerships started to grow from there. 

We’re oh so picky about what we buy and who from. We deal directly with the designers and makers and know them very well.

All of our partners are very, very good at what they do.

American West has been doing their thing for about 25 years. Owned and managed by women, they’re passionate about designing leather handbags.

The main maker of their luxury handbags, who turns their designs into stunning reality, is a mother and daughter owned business.

American Indian artists have been expert silversmiths and carvers for many, many generations.

Sergio Lub has been designing and making copper bracelets for 40 years.

Our leather handbags, silver and turquoise jewellery, carvings and copper bracelets are made by true artisans. They have passion for what they create and an instinct for what they can sell, because they also do it for a living.  

They’re uncompromising about using the finest materials and creating things in traditional ways, but with the needs of the modern world in mind. Durable – yes, affordable - yes and always, always deliciously stylish.

Our American Indian jewellery and Zuni carvings are bought directly from the artists face to face at the Indian Arts and Crafts Association (IACA) Spring and Fall Markets in New Mexico and Arizona.

Sometimes, if we like a specific piece, we’ll deal with a specialist Trader, but always at the IACA markets and always from an IACA member business. We are full members of the IACA, which is your guarantee of product authenticity. 

We're a commercial business and so we need to be profitable to survive and grow. No surprises there! What we will never do is compromise quality and service for profit - and we’ll not deal with anyone who does. That's our promise to you.

Customer Service.

It is important to us that you experience a superior service:

• The images and descriptions of our products are as accurate representations as we can get. They are deliberately big and bold so that you can see as much detail as possible.
• We expect to deliver to you within 5 working days. However, it may occasionally take up to 10 working days if we do not have stock. We will keep you advised about this.
• We offer a 7 day returns policy, if for some reason what you ordered fails to meet your expectations. See our terms and conditions for details.
• Our ordering process is as straightforward and secure as we can make it. We use RBS/NatWest Streamline and SagePay secured systems. We do not have access to or store customer card details.
• We are fully authorised retailers for all products offered for sale on www.bagstoriches.uk.com.
